Most people don’t know that we’re quickly approaching kitten season, a time of year when there is a population boom in unowned community cats. This increase of kitten litters in the spring leads to an upswing in shelter impoundment—and killing—in communities without humane and effective programs like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). And because cats as young as four months old can go into heat, we must act NOW to prevent this cycle and save thousands of cats’ lives in the coming months.

Alley Cat Allies is leading the charge to protect cats and kittens through our Feline Frenzy® events, which spay and neuter cats, humanely managing populations. These community events are held all over the country to save lives through long-term progress and short-term veterinary care.
