The past few months have been a strong indication of what Republican “leadership” in our state looks like.
Our state legislature passed a law that undercuts our civil rights, Republican lawmakers are refusing to host town halls to address their constituents’ concerns, and thousands of Iowans have lost their federal jobs due to nationwide layoffs.
This isn’t leadership, nor is it how elected officials are supposed to act. Republican lawmakers aren’t showing up to meet Iowan’s needs, but the Iowa Democratic Party is.
We are pushing back on the GOP’s agenda. We hosted forums to listen to the stories of those affected by layoffs, we invited Tim Walz to have a town hall in IA-03, and we’re communicating with Iowans to let them know exactly what kind of policies their elected officials support.
We’re following our Forward: Victory 2026 plan, and so long as we have enough gas to keep the engine running, we’ll be in a good position to help more Iowa Democrats get elected.
