NTCA The Rural Broadband Association represents roughly 850 independent, family-owned, and community-based telecommunications companies. I got to catch up with them to hear what they have been working on and get their thoughts on the Universal Service Fund which, among other things, allows helps make telehealth services more accessible in rural areas like those in the 7th District.
I sat down with the Farm Journal Foundation to discuss agricultural research and their priorities for the Farm Bill.
I had a nice meeting with the Lower Sioux Indian Community, also known as the Mdewakanton Tribal Reservation, to talk about some of their top priorities for the year.

The Minnesota Corn Growers came to town and we had a great meeting about the farm economy, year-round E-15, and the role biofuels play in meeting the country's energy needs.
Students from Waseca, Osakis, Fertile-Beltrami, and Hawley came out to Washington with the Close Up Foundation and I got to talk with them outside the Capitol about what it's like to work in Congress. I hope you all enjoyed your trip!
The Minnesota Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts came out to discuss their Farm Bill priorities as well as the appropriations priorities for conservation programs across the state.

Pioneer Equipment, the trade association for nearly 350 franchised equipment dealers across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, came to discuss the importance of workforce development, the Highway Bill, the Farm Bill, and the tariffs on Canada.
