I emailed you Saturday morning to inform you of the devastating earthquake in Southeast Asia. Over the weekend reports have been pouring in with updates of how crippling this earthquake really was.
More than 2,000 people have been pronounced dead with thousands more injured or missing. And the true number of those impacted is considered to be many times higher due to telecommunication outages and difficulties traveling around the region.
One staff leader in the area shared, “[We] can’t go home … staff in the area are sleeping along the side of the road, exposed to the elements and mosquitos, but still planning for ministry outreach!”
It is critical that we assist our staff and the victims impacted by this devastating earthquake.
Right now, you can provide practical help. Local teams and partners are already working to support relief efforts.
