John, I want to take a few minutes to set the record straight on some key facts about Medicaid. When we know the facts, we can see just how essential this program is for the millions of people in this country who depend on it.
Despite what some may say, Medicaid is actually one of the most cost-efficient programs out there and, because of this, it is not possible to make cuts to this program without directly impacting aging and disabled people and families.
Here are 10 key facts you need to know [[link removed]] as we continue our fight to protect Medicaid:

Medicaid is life-saving for millions of Americans. While Congress has voted on a budget resolution, the fight isn’t over —the Senate still needs to vote on their budget, and lawmakers must come to an agreement about a final budget. Harmful cuts are still on the table, but there’s still time to stop them and protect Medicaid.
Protecting and strengthening Medicaid means protecting our communities, our economy, and our future. Fighting back against misinformation is key to protecting it— by telling the real story, we strengthen the movement and in turn pressure policymakers to protect and expand the program rather than cut it.
Be sure to forward this email to all those in your life who care about Medicaid. Let’s make sure we all have the information we need to continue our fight to protect it!
