On Gun Violence Awareness Day, we can no longer afford to ignore the fact that police violence is gun violence.

And we can’t ignore the unjustifiably higher rates of police violence in America’s Black and brown communities compared to white communities.

We know Black Americans are 2.5 times more likely than white Americans to be killed by police -- even though Black Americans make up only 13% of our population.

So on Gun Violence Awareness day, we’re asking you to join us and DEMAND Republicans move on common-sense reforms. >> [link removed]

For over a year now, our Democratic Majority’s common-sense gun reform -- legislation that could save countless American lives and make our communities safer -- has sat collecting dust.

And we’re disgusted Mitch McConnell and his Senate Republicans refuse to even consider any meaningful solutions.

This is a pivotal moment for our country to make progress.

We need 2,25O,OOO grassroots Democrats to join us on Gun Violence Awareness Day and DEMAND Republicans take action on gun violence prevention.

BEFORE MIDNIGHT: Will you sign on and DEMAND Republicans pass common-sense gun violence prevention reform that’ll save lives? >> [link removed]

Thank you,

DCCC
