The MAGA shadow president was holding a rally in Wisconsin over the weekend, literally handing out $1 million checks on stage to influence the outcome of the state's Supreme Court election on Tuesday when he was interrupted by anti-authoritarian hecklers who managed to get inside the building and make their voices heard. Musk laughably claimed they were professional agitators paid by George Soros (of course) to — wait for it — influence the outcome of the election. If Elon were any less self-aware, he wouldn't see his own reflection in a mirror.

The would-be dictator has once again floated the idea of serving an illegal third term, this time in an interview with NBC News. While it's easy to dismiss this as just an attempt to rile up the libs and provoke a chorus of concerned consternation from the political cognoscenti, Trump has brought the prospect up so many times that it's clear he is NOT joking, especially since he literally said, "I'm not joking." When asked about constitutional limits, Trump responded, "I don't even want to talk about it. I'm just telling you I have had more people saying 'please run again.' We have a long way to go before we even think about that, but I've had a lot of people.” Unsurprising that Donald doesn't want to talk about the Constitution, the very thing he swore to uphold in his oath of office; he's spent the first three months of his chaotic second term violating it left and right.

Donald continued, "If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia." Hoo boy. Firstly, Russia invaded Ukraine, so waffling over who's to blame for the carnage is silly. Secondly, it is remarkable to witness how the wannabe dictator tiptoes around criticizing and challenging an actual authoritarian despot; it's a far cry from the bellicose barking we hear when he's punching down. Bullies rarely pick fights in their own weight class, after all.

Los Angeles attorney Paul Eisner submitted the "Luigi Mangione Access to Health Care Act" to the state’s attorney general’s office last week, a ballot measure that would make it illegal to "deny, delay, or modify" a medical procedure that a physician has recommended. Eisner told KFMB that he named the measure after the accused killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson "for a very simple reason: it is getting the attention it needs, because sometimes things require publicity."

The Administration for Community Living will be disbanded and its “critical” programs will be integrated into other Health and Human Services agencies under draconian DOGE budget cuts. The most important program under the ACL is the beloved "Meals on Wheels," which provided more than 261 million meals to older adults, assistance such as respite care to more than 1.5 million family caregivers, and independent-living services to nearly 250,000 people with disabilities in 2022 alone. Whether or not Meals on Wheels will be considered a "critical program" remains to be seen. The ACL's budget is just $2.5 billion dollars a year. “Donald Trump often claims, ‘We love our seniors,’ but today’s drastic cuts at HHS reveal just how empty those words are," said Richard Fiesta, executive director of the advocacy group Alliance for Retired Americans. Millions of elderly Americans will literally go hungry due to these needless budget cuts.
