Hey John,
I’ll cut to the chase—I'm Kelsey Jackson, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Women’s March. We're just hours away from closing the books on Q1, and we’re still $13,700 short of our goal.
I’m deeply proud of the amazing power our movement has shown in just the past three months:
- On Inauguration Weekend, over 125,000 of you filled the streets in D.C., and tens of thousands more at 450+ local People’s Marches, setting the tone for resistance in 2025.
- On International Women’s Day, we powered 350+ Rise and Resist Marches and Actions across all 50 states, standing up to fascism and demonstrating the resistance is alive.
- We’ve trained over 15,000 digital defenders to protect our communities from far-right disinformation and online attacks.
- We’ve gathered tens of thousands on mass calls to take action around climate justice, gender equity, reproductive freedom, and more.
- We are going toe-to-toe with Elon Musk’s attempt to buy a Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin, launching ads, billboards, GOTV efforts, and protests to defend abortion access and voting rights.
- This month in D.C., 100 feminists took action, and 45 were arrested defending our right to health care and bodily autonomy.
- We’ve on-ramped 15,000+ new members into political homes—investing in long-term, community-rooted movement infrastructure.
- And we’ve launched Women’s Protection Teams and self-defense trainings across the country to keep our communities safe in increasingly volatile conditions.
That’s not a to-do list. That’s what we’ve already done in the first three months of this year. And we’re just getting started.
Right now, we’re $13,700 behind our Q1 fundraising target. Women’s March is primarily funded by the same people who march, go to trainings, and do direct actions. You know better than anyone how important our work is. Can you chip in before the end of today to help close the gap?
Here’s what’s coming next (just this week alone):
- Tonight – A mass organizing call on gender and fascism
- April 2 – Mobilizing in D.C. to defend Planned Parenthood at the Supreme Court
- April 5 – People’s Veto Day: flooding the Capitol to say hands off our bodies, our books, our democracy
John, we don’t have billionaire donors or dark money megachecks. We’re funded by everyday feminists, giving an average of $23.14 at a time. That means we’re accountable to you—our base.
Can we count on you to chip in $25 before the end of the day to help close the gap?DONATE $25 →
Since 2017, Women’s March has been on the frontlines of this fight. We’ve never backed down—and we’re not about to start now.
Thank you so much for being in this with us.
In struggle,
