National: Reopening America With Congressman Chip Roy

Congressman Chip Roy joined TPPF's Executive Director Kevin Roberts for a discussion on reopening America.🗽 They discussed the impact of the Coronavirus on our economy and how our nation recovers.

"These are tough times, but we're strong people, strong Texans, and strong Americans," said Congressman Chip Roy.

State: Lack of Immunity ≠ a Disability

The Texas Supreme Court 👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️ agreed with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that a lack of immunity to Coronavirus is not a disability and therefore not a reason to request a mail-in ballot in Texas. 📮

Mail in voting presents huge opportunities for fraud, despite liberal arguments that say otherwise. That's why it's important that Texans follow the law and ensure one Texan, one vote in the upcoming elections.

Local: Hands Off Our Property Taxes 💸

Texas Public Policy Foundation's James Quintero joined KYFO's Chad Hasty to talk about the City of Dallas voting down an 8% increase in property taxes for its residents. 🙅

The City of Dallas had initially proposed the 8% increase to make up for the current $25 million budget shortfall. Next year the shortfall is projected at $143 million. This proposed rate increase was directly at odds with Senate Bill 2 which passed during 86th Legislative Session.

Without action, government grows and becomes more intrusive in our lives. Join the fight!
