John,
Dismantling the Department of Education would be an attack on the most vulnerable among us. Low-income students, students of color, students with disabilities, rural students, and English as a Second Language (ESL) students would all suffer. Thankfully, abolishing a federal agency requires an Act of Congress in this country - not an executive order.
President Trump needs to address the real problems faced by American students and families every day. From academic achievement to widening achievement gaps to school shootings to the burden of student loans, there is a lot of work to be done.
It’s time for the Republicans to stop attacking the American people and start serving the American people.
We deserve nothing less.

Thank you,
Bobby
