This month, every single House Republican voted to allow Trump to make cuts to Medicaid. Every. Single. One.
Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security are promises we, the people, made to one another, funded by our taxpayer dollars and faithfully administered by institutions established by Congress and strengthened over decades. And that’s a promise that my Democratic colleagues and I remain committed to.
The GOP, however, has other ideas about where their allegiance lies. They make promises to Donald Trump, to their billionaire backers, to their partisan mouthpieces.
I’m fighting back, in Congress and on the ground in PA, to make sure we deliver on the promises made to you and your families.
Right now, I need to ask for your help supporting my work as my campaign faces our first public FEC filing deadline of this cycle. If you can, I’d love for you to stand with us as we fight to make sure promises made are promises kept.

This month, every House Republican sat idly by as Donald Trump dismantled the Department of Education.
A department established by Congress to ensure the sanctity of public education in this country — a topic that every single American can agree is critical to our future and development as a nation. We promised to look out for America’s children.
The GOP and Trump are breaking another promise and putting our children, our educators, and our families at risk. We are actively litigating to stop this unlawful act, and I am in the district working with constituents, Dem organizations, and campaigns to get answers, support, and resources.

This month, senior ranking members of the Trump administration, including the Vice President himself, along with the Secretaries of Defense and State, broke their promise to protect our military members and our national security when they conducted classified conversations about war operations in real time via an unsecured group chat on personal devices.
If that wasn’t enough, they somehow accidentally invited a journalist to this unforgivably dangerous and reckless conversation where they discussed targets, timing, and revealed information about service members involved.
This is beyond unacceptable, it’s horrifying and infuriating. It’s a broken promise that undermines any promise Donald Trump and his GOP could ever make to the American people going forward. And believe me, they will have to answer to Congress when the time comes.
I am doing everything I can to legislate, litigate, agitate, and hold them accountable this cycle. And I need your help.

Thank you,
Mary Gay
