As the former first lady of Iowa, and a lifelong Iowan Democrat, it makes me immensely proud to see the work Iowa Democratic Party is doing to deliver for our communities. That’s why I’m reaching out today and asking for your support before their big End-of-Quarter fundraising deadline tomorrow.

My husband Tom and I have spent our careers uplifting rural America. Iowa’s farmers and our agricultural economy are issues I care deeply about, and during a time where our future is so uncertain, it gives me hope that we have institutions like IDP prioritizing our small towns and rural communities.

IDP is working hard to ensure we elect Democratic candidates whose values match our own. We need elected officials who will support small and mid-size farmers, invest in our public schools, help rural Iowa grow, and give us a voice in our democracy.

And we’re on the right path, folks. Between winning two special elections in January, and making a red district competitive in March, our Democratic message is resonating with Iowans. Now, we need to keep the momentum going.

IDP has their End-of-Quarter fundraising deadline tomorrow, and reaching their goal will allow them to continue connecting with Iowans and building the future we all deserve. That’s why I’m asking for your support: Will you chip in $25 today?
