Friend, the death toll has soared beyond 1,700 people across Myanmar and Thailand after a catastrophic 7.7-magnitude earthquake toppled buildings and caused widespread destruction throughout the region. Experts fear that as many as 10,000 people have been killed.
Hospitals are severely strained. A shortage of supplies has been reported at hospitals near the epicenter of the earthquake. And at Mandalay General Hospital, the high influx of patients has forced them to treat dozens in the parking lot in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
As you read this, Project HOPE’s Emergency Response team is preparing to provide urgent relief to save as many lives as possible. That includes deploying team members to assess local health infrastructure and provide medical care, critical supplies, and other aid to families and children impacted by this devastating earthquake.
The scale of need is massive, and we need your urgent help to reach our $50,000 emergency fundraising goal by midnight tonight. Please, will you rush an emergency donation now to help Project HOPE continue delivering emergency aid and support to save lives in Myanmar and around the world?
