John, it's Valerie Foushee –
I’m sorry to email you on a Sunday, but I need your help. I’ll explain why, but first will you chip in to help me reach my campaign's $10,000 goal in grassroots support before tomorrow’s FEC deadline?
Sunday church takes me back to my childhood. It was the place where I found solace at a time when kids who looked like me were othered and excluded. Whether in schools, stores, or restaurants, everything was separate – nothing was equal.
But church gave me a place to connect with my community, to God, and to my fundamental values. During these trying times we’re facing today, I find the same solace there as I did back then.
Right now, our country is deeply divided. Donald Trump and Elon Musk are shaking the foundations of our democracy and leaving so many Americans behind. And as we try to pick up the pieces and fight back, it’s easy to feel alone.
I’m reaching out because you’re not alone, John. When we look to our neighbors, members of our churches, and teachers in our schools, we find that we have more in common than we think.
And before my FEC deadline tonight, I am calling on all of us to come together and show the current administration who we really are. We are Americans who value freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. And we will lock arms and stand up to anyone who tries to undo our progress.
The best way you can support my work in Congress is to make a small donation of $10 or $25. If I can reach my campaign’s $10,000 fundraising goal, it will go a long way towards helping me support the Democrats in North Carolina from competitive districts who I need by my side in this fight. Can I count on you to chip in before tomorrow’s deadline?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now. |
Thank you,
Valerie Foushee
