For Trump's first joint address to Congress, I invited a recently fired federal worker, Laura Wallace, as my guest.

Her job was actually making sure taxpayer's dollars were spent efficiently, unlike the flurry of budget cuts and sudden firings from the DOGE boys.

Our federal workers are instrumental in ensuring that our country worked for millions.

Our federal workers made sure we had proper funding for cancer research and preventative outbreaks of measles or avian flu.

Our federal workers made sure we had enough air traffic controllers and airport staff on the payroll to ensure you and your family had a safe flight.

Our federal workers made sure we employed nuclear scientists who kept our country safe against any threat to our national security.

She and other federal workers worked tirelessly for our country. That's why it's infuriating watching Trump and his MAGA administration repay our workers by firing them in the name of "government waste."

Our federal workers are not "waste," and I won't allow Trump or his unelected billionaire friend to treat our workers with no respect.
