FUNDING UPDATE: The U.S. government has terminated all funding agreements for UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency. In Gaza, this means eight mobile health clinics are set to close, and the supply of Dignity Kits for 50,000 women will stop without your help.
Will you rush an emergency donation right now to sustain programs for women, girls, pregnant mothers, and infants? [[link removed]?]

Eid al-Fitr celebrations will soon be upon us, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

While millions of Muslims honored their faith by fasting from sunup to sundown over the past month, we cannot forget those who are forced to go hungry simply because there is no food to eat.

Like in Gaza, where an estimated 155,000 pregnant women and new mothers face dire conditions. Mass displacement, sparing food costs, and financial hardship have caused widespread hunger and malnutrition.

“There was no food other than duqqa (a spice mix). Even milk wasn’t available — no pasteurized milk, no powdered milk. I tried to replace what I could with supplements, although they were hard to find,” Roozan , a 23-year-old pregnant mother, told UNFPA.

Malnutrition is especially high among pregnant and breastfeeding women, leading to increased pregnancy complications. Folic acid, multivitamins, and other crucial supplements are on the verge of disappearing. And in February, at least one in five newborns in Gaza were born with complications, including low birth weight.

UNFPA-supported mobile clinics in the West Bank are doing all they can to reach displaced populations with lifesaving care and supplies, as well as trained midwives and healthcare workers.

But as hostilities resume and the aid blockade continues, these critical services that women and girls depend on will be severely impacted.

So with Eid soon upon us, we’re asking you to help us be there for women and girls no matter what. Will you give a Sadaqah (gift) to deliver lifesaving care to women and girls who are suffering? Your gift will deliver hope to those who need it most this Eid. [[link removed]?]

We condemn the violence in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and hope for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas, and an end to the violence. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.
