Fight for $15

John,
I've been marching in St. Louis -- 6 years and 10 miles from the Ferguson protests. Time and distance may have changed, but the police haven't.
Like tens of thousands around the world, we're there to peacefully protest the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the countless other Black and Brown people beaten, maimed, or killed by police violence.
Their response? More brutality.
The same system that pays us poverty wages equips police with state-of-the-art military gear to attack and terrorize our communities.
Support protestors by donating to bail funds nationwide. >>

On Wednesday, Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II joined activists and workers for #WalkoutWednesday alongside others fighting on the front lines of the pandemic.
“Laws don't create justice,” Bobby Roy made clear. “People create justice.”
The fight for higher wages, union rights, and respect on the job is about a movement of people fighting the same system that has killed Black and Brown people for DECADES.
Dr. King delivered his most famous speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
We can't be free without a job that pays us enough to take care of our families and our communities.
We can't be free when we are sexually harassed at work.
We can't be free when we are forced to do life threatening work during the pandemic without basic safety equipment.
We can't be free until they value our lives and respect us.
That's our job. We must create justice.
Please consider making a donation to bail funds nationwide to get protestors out of the hands of police and back to their communities. >>

Then get ready for the long term fight. For Jobs. For Freedom.
