Hey, it's Vice Chair of the DGA, Andy Beshear. Please chip in to support our important work.
Hey there, it’s Andy Beshear, Governor of Kentucky and Vice Chair of the DGA. Like many of you, I’ve been watching the chaos caused by the Republican trifecta in Washington. But we’re not giving up – we’re gearing up and finding a new way forward in this fight.
The past few weeks have emphasized one truth: Who your governor is matters now more than ever – and electing Democratic governors has never been more essential.
So right now, will you chip in $3, $6, or whatever you can right now to help support the our work of stopping GOP extremism and electing Democratic governors in this November, 2026, and beyond? Please don’t hesitate &ndash a group of generous donors is TRIPLING all gifts up to our $250,000 goal until midnight tomorrow, and with 38 critical races on the ballot, there’s no time to waste.

These first months of the Trump administration have been nothing short of chaotic. I know all too well how decisions made in Washington can negatively impact people in the states. Earlier this month, Trump enacted tariffs that would be damaging to the economy of my own state of Kentucky and across the country. Americans didn't vote for more expensive groceries or higher gas prices, but that is what the president's tariffs will cause. Families across our country deserve better – and Democratic governors know that.
Despite the chaos and confusion being wrought in Washington, Democratic governors are hard at work in the states fighting for their people. As Vice Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, and Chair-Elect for 2026, I know all about how my fellow Dem govs are serving their states every single day. Just take a look:
In Maine, Gov. Janet Mills stood up to Donald Trump’s threats to withhold federal funding from her state – telling him she’ll see him in court.
In Maryland, Gov. Wes Moore signed a proclamation enshrining reproductive freedom into their state constitution.
In Wisconsin, Gov. Tony Evers committed to lower prescription drug prices and protect consumers from medication price gouging.
In Michigan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed 16 bills expanding access to contraception and removing barriers to reproductive care.
In Massachusetts, Gov. Maura Healey just announced her state’s first ever comprehensive housing plan that would lower costs and increase supply.
In Kansas, Gov. Laura Kelly helped fully fund public schools, balance the state budget, and pass over $2B in tax cuts.
These are just a few of the many strides my colleagues are making every day to work for a better future. It’s clear that Democratic governors are focused on the issues you and your neighbors worry about. While this administration is creating chaos and finding new ways to divide us, Dem govs are focused on the real-life concerns you’re dealing with.
I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. But it’s not going to be easy with more than three-quarters of our nation’s governors on the ballot over the next two years. Republicans are already gearing up in battleground states like Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan – so we can’t afford to waste a moment.
I’m ready to put my heart into expanding our blue firewall, and I’m counting on you to stand with me, John. So please, I’m asking you personally: will you chip in $3 right now to help support our work to elect Democratic governors? Your gift will even be 3X-matched up to our end-of-quarter goal – but only until midnight tomorrow, so don’t delay.

Andy Beshear
Governor of Kentucky
As a two-term governor, Andy Beshear has a long record of accomplishments. He restored voting rights to nearly 200,000 Kentuckians, secured low-cost health care for tens of thousands, had the best economic development year on record, and had the lowest unemployment rate in state history. He won his first election by just 5,136 votes and his second by 5 percentage points because Kentuckians and folks across the country know that he will work every day to make Americans lives better from jobs, to infrastructure, health care, public education and so much more.
Now he’s serving as DGA Vice Chair to continue the fight for progress by electing Democratic governors across the country.
Will you chip in $3 or whatever you can today to help defend our blue firewall? All donations will be 3x-matched up to our end-of-quarter goal.
