As so many of us are looking to take action to reform this county and its broken systems, it’s critical to remember that one of the most impactful things any citizen can do to change our country is vote.
But even today, voting rights are under attack, and the COVID-19 pandemic is forcing Americans to choose between their safety and their right to vote.
Donald Trump has launched a personal vendetta against vote by mail—spreading misinformation, lies, and myths about voting from home—AFTER choosing to vote absentee himself.
The truth is, vote by mail has been proven to encourage greater participation in our democracy: States that have enacted vote by mail saw a 15 percent higher median turnout than traditionally voting states during the 2018 primary.
