Email from Langworthy for Congress Dear John, The Buffalo News has crossed a dangerous line. Last week, they encouraged left-wing radicals to intensify their protests. They did this despite the knowledge of two recent, deeply disturbing incidents involving my office—one where it was vandalized and another where a package containing suspicious white powder was received. Yet, the Buffalo News never once used its platform to condemn these acts. Instead, they’ve escalated the situation further by glorifying these same extremists, publishing photos of them holding a guillotine poster and calling Elon Musk a “Nazi.” Let’s be clear: two assassination attempts have already been made on President Trump’s life. Rather than promoting calm and reason, the media is stoking the flames of violence by giving a platform to these dangerous extremists. Meanwhile, my staff faces harassment and threats on a near-daily basis from a narrow band of angry individuals suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. The hostility has reached unimaginable levels—one of my staffers, a young mother, was even told to “kill herself” just for working for me. This level of toxicity and hatred is beyond unacceptable. The guillotine poster with the phrase “checks and balances” is not some symbolic protest—it is a clear call for violence and the execution of elected leaders. This dangerous rhetoric has no place in our political discourse. If something terrible happens, the Buffalo News will be complicit for giving a platform to this kind of extremism. The Buffalo News claims to promote “civility” in politics, but their actions tell a very different story. It’s interesting how the left-wing media suddenly toned down their use of the term “Nazi” after a deranged individual tried to assassinate President Trump and tragically killed an innocent firefighter. Say what you want about Trump and Musk, but let’s not forget—our movement led the largest peaceful protest in modern history on Election Day 2024. The double standard is undeniable, and we refuse to stay silent. Nicholas A.
