Dear Jack,
I hope that you have had an excellent March! This has been an eventful week with the Governor’s action on this year’s passed legislation, including new actions on my 2025 legislation, and preparations for the Reconvene Session taking place next week.
The Governor's Actions on 2025 Legislation and the Upcoming Reconvene Session
On Monday, the Governor completed action on the 916 bills sent forward by the General Assembly during the 2025 legislative session. Overall, Governor Youngkin approved 599 bills, sent 159 back with amendments, and vetoed 157 bills. He also returned the budget with 205 amendments and eight line-item vetoes. The General Assembly will return to session on April 2, 2025, for the Reconvene Session, where it will take up the Governor’s amendments and vetoes. This session will mark the final gaveling out of the 2025 legislative session.

My 2025 Legislation
I am happy to report that seven of my bills have been signed into law, with an eighth bill being sent back to the General Assembly with amendments from the Governor. This has been an incredibly successful legislative session, and it would not have been possible without the support, creativity, and advocacy of our community members in the 27th district! Your ideas are the foundation for bills that improve our region and Commonwealth.

New Resource for Displaced Federal Workers and Contractors
Northern Virginia Community College has launched a new program called NOVAnext to assist displaced federal workers and contractors in finding new employment. This program is free to eligible participants and allows workers to explore how their experiences in the federal government can match in-demand jobs available in the region or gain the skills needed to start a new opportunity. If you are interested in NOVAnext, please click the button below:

Experiencing Delays in Federal Programs?
With the new administration and its changes to federal programs, we want to know if you are experiencing any difficulties or delays. For example, if there are unforeseen slowdowns or disruptions to disbursements of federal funds such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, or benefits from the Veteran Administration, please report them using my office’s constituent service form:

Resources for Federal Workers
With the recent layoffs conducted by the Presidential administration, many families in our community are in limbo about where they will find relief or new employment opportunities. My office has put together a resource list for Loudoun County including state and local relief options for those who have been recently laid off. We will work to update this list with additional services as necessary. Click on the button below to view our page on Resources for Federal Workers.

Commending and Memorial Resolution Request Form
One of my greatest honors as a Delegate is being able to celebrate residents of HD-27 who have displayed local, state, or national distinction through resolutions. My office can put in commending and memorial resolutions during the primary legislative session or a special session. If you know someone or a community organization in the district that you think deserves special recognition, please fill out the form below, and a member of my team will reach out to speak about the request.

How My Office Can Help
Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As your delegate, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission, Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation, and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf and help you engage with the state agency you need. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters involving private businesses.
Whether you want to bring an issue to my attention, need my office’s assistance, or want to invite me to a community event, please reach out! If there is any way I can assist you, please let me know here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
