Every week, we see new headlines about violent criminal illegals committing crimes right here in the Lowcountry. It’s the aftermath of the Biden Border Crisis—one we’re finally starting to clean up.

Thanks to President Trump’s unprecedented crackdown on illegal immigration—including shutting down the disastrous CBP One app—we’re seeing real results. After four years of the radical Left leaving our borders wide open, this is a major win for national security.

In just his first month back in office, illegal border crossings dropped 94%, while interior arrests surged 137%.

This week, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem toured a high-security prison in El Salvador—where the worst of the worst are being held. Under President Trump, illegal aliens aren’t being handed plane tickets, hotel rooms, or “get out of jail free” cards. They’re being removed—plain and simple.

That’s the difference between law and order—and complete chaos.

President Trump, Tom Homan and Secretary Noem are a force to be reckoned with. They’re doing what Biden and the far Left won’t: shut the border and put Americans first. We’ve got their backs 100%.

Check out the photos and highlights from the week—and as always, if a federal agency is stonewalling you, let us know. We’re not afraid to knock down doors to get answers.

Behind the Scenes

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

We met with leadership from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) to talk about key projects and grant opportunities that could make a real difference across our district. From protecting our waterways to supporting our veterans, they’ve got important initiatives in motion—and they need backup.

We’re here to answer the call.

Global CEO of Volvo Cars

We had a productive meeting with the Global CEO of Volvo Cars this week to discuss the future of automotive manufacturing in South Carolina.

With more than $27 billion in economic impact, the automotive industry has become a cornerstone of our state’s economy—and Volvo is a key part of that story.

Women's History Month at the White House

This week, we were invited to the White House by President Trump to celebrate Women’s History Month and recognize the strength, leadership, and resilience of women across the country.

We finally have a president who stands with women—not just in words, but through action.

From breaking barriers to rewriting the rules, we're going to continue standing up for women—and we’re just getting started.

Legislating for the Lowcountry

We reintroduced the Increased Accountability for Nonconsensual Pornography Act of 2025, legislation strengthening protections for victims of voyeurism and nonconsensual pornography—issues continuing to be overlooked in our laws despite growing threats to women and girls online.

We're pushing to block federal funding for public colleges and universities who give in-state tuition or state-based financial aid to illegal aliens. Read more here.

We cosponsored Rep. Luttrell's “Service Dogs Assisting Veterans Act,” or “SAVES Act,” which mandates the secretary of Veterans Affairs award grants to nonprofits whose mission is to provide service dogs to veterans. Those grants would allow eligible veterans to be provided with a service dog at no charge to them. Read more here.

Rep. Nancy Mace: "Judicial Overreach Stalls Efforts to Deport Criminals"

Fox News:

"We spent over $1 million to find out if female rats receiving testosterone therapy were more likely to overdose on a date rape drug," Mace said last month.

"At our House Oversight Committee hearing last month, we exposed cruel, taxpayer-funded transgender animal experiments," Mace told Fox News Digital in a statement.

"We uncovered how NIH wasted over a million dollars studying whether female rats – after having their ovaries removed and being injected with testosterone to mimic transgender men – were more likely to overdose on a date rape drug. President Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency are now shutting down these appalling and inhumane experiments the Biden administration chose to fund with your hard-earned tax dollars," Mace added.

What we voted for:

H.R. 359 – Cost-Share Accountability Act of 2025:
This bill requires the Department of Energy to submit quarterly reports to Congress whenever it waives cost-sharing rules for energy projects, making the process more transparent and accountable.

H.R. 1326 – DOE and USDA Interagency Research Act:
This bill formalizes the existing partnership between the Department of Energy and the Department of Agriculture to collaborate on research that advances clean energy, rural development, and environmental innovation while reducing government waste.

H.R. 1534 – IMPACT Act:
This bill boosts American manufacturing and cuts emissions by funding research to produce low-emission cement, concrete, and asphalt.

H.J. Res. 242 – Rule for consideration of energy regulations and H.R. 1048 – DETERRENT Act:
This vote allows the House to move forward with overturning burdensome energy regulations on walk-in coolers and freezers and to consider legislation that strengthens U.S. deterrence efforts.

H.J.Res. 24 – Disapproval of DOE Rule on Walk-In Coolers and Freezers:
This resolution blocks a costly Biden administration rule that would raise prices on walk-in coolers and freezers, hurting small grocers, gas stations, and rural communities.

H.J.Res. 75 – Disapproval of DOE Rule on Commercial Refrigeration:
This resolution stops a Biden regulation that would cost small businesses up to $8 billion for new refrigerators and freezers with virtually no real savings, driving up grocery costs for families.

H.R. 1048 – DETERRENT Act:
This bill stops foreign adversaries from secretly buying influence at American colleges by requiring schools to report foreign gifts and contracts, especially from China, Iran, and Russia.
