John — great news! Last Tuesday, the people of Iowa’s 4th Congressional District voted to give Steve King the boot. King has a long history of homophobia and is staunchly anti-choice:
“In 2009, when the Iowa Supreme Court recognized marriage equality, King warned that the state would “become the gay marriage Mecca” and said the judges who voted for marriage equality “should resign from their position.” He spent $80,000 for ads against retaining the judges in the next election, and all three were voted off the bench."
Last Tuesday’s election rids Congress of a notoriously homophobic, anti-choice, and Trump-loving politician. But here in the Bronx, we’re in danger of electing someone just like him. John, we can't afford to replace one Steve King with another, but inaction at this critical moment could result in exactly that happening:
We can’t allow an openly homophobic and anti-choice politician who has likened being gay to bestiality to represent us. Chip in $25 today to help Ritchie defeat Ruben Diaz, Sr. on June 23rd.

We can’t afford to have another Steve King represent the bluest district in America. This primary election presents a stark choice between a progressive trailblazer and a homophobic, anti-choice conservative who would be Donald Trump’s staunchest ally in Congress. The choice is pretty clear, but we can’t take anything for granted.
