Folks — When you chip in to Groundwork Project, you’re supporting our work in our partner states. To fully support the work in these target regions, we’re counting on grassroots supporters like you to help us reach our fundraising goals for the first quarter of the year. Please chip in if you can!
Our partner states include:
Alabama: There are signs of real opportunity and hope for the road ahead, including demographic shifts, a broad base of likely voters committed to a more equitable future, and a vibrant, multi-racial coalition of organizations and local civic leaders working to write a new story for Alabama.
Mississippi: Local leaders have built on Mississippi's historic tradition of organizing and advocacy, working together to create critical infrastructure, develop voter engagement strategies, and expand data capacity. But more resources are needed to overcome generations of racial disenfranchisement and build equitable power for all residents.
Oklahoma: Groundwork sees clear seeds of opportunity on the ground if the resources can be secured to grow them. The organizing ecosystem on the ground is climbing high, despite the odds. Grassroots leaders are building powerful coalitions around criminal legal reform, reproductive justice, and civic participation.
West Virginia: A growing organizing ecosystem on the ground is ripe for additional investment as it begins to implement smart and sustainable strategies. Without a doubt, we see a rising generation of local leadership who will change the trajectory of the state if they can secure the resources to do the work.
In honor of our four partner states, can you pitch in $4 or more as we approach our first end-of-quarter deadline to uplift organizers across these regions and deliver real, progressive change?
