☪️ John: Throughout this holy month, I've been joining millions of Muslims around the world in observing Ramadan. During this time, we abstain from eating and drinking during daylight hours. It is a chance to refocus our minds, take stock of our blessings, and give back to those less fortunate in our communities.
This year, my heart is heavy observing Ramadan, thinking of families in places like Gaza, Sudan and Afghanistan, where people are surviving despite horrifying conditions.
The end of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, is a time of celebration and community. But for millions of Muslims around the world this year, it will be a time of grief and hardship.
How do families living through crisis, who are without enough to eat, create a joyous feast?
Whether you are celebrating Eid or not, you can make a difference for families facing violence, starvation and an uncertain future.
