Donald Trump announced he is withdrawing the United States from
the World Health Organization (WHO), the specialized agency under
the United Nations responsible for international public health.
The United States contributes about $400 million annually and is
the World Health Organization's largest contributor.
Withdrawing that funding now, in the middle of a pandemic, puts
hundreds of millions of people across the world in jeopardy and
will only contribute to our current global humanitarian crisis.
