John,
The Trump Administration is undoing the years of progress made in the fight to end preventable gun violence. Trump has directed his administration to shut down the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, to remove life-saving data from federal websites, and he has installed unqualified people who would rather cater to the gun lobby than commit to making our communities safer.
But we're continuing to fight forward and make progress because we know lives are at stake.
So with that in mind, we’re coming to you: If you can, we’re asking you to pitch in $5, $10, or whatever you’re able to our work before our end-of-month deadline on Monday.
Here’s how we know we will continue to make progress: They can’t stop what we’re building in the states.
While the federal government looks the other way—and actively makes it more difficult to tackle this epidemic—we’re fighting harder and smarter to pass bold, commonsense legislation that will save lives.
We’re pushing for permit-to-purchase laws, holding gun dealers accountable, investing in community-based violence intervention, and making sure guns are stored securely, and kept out of public spaces where families congregate like parks and playgrounds.
We know these policies work. And we know that together, we can get them passed.
But to do it, we need to raise $5,000 from grassroots supporters like you before our March 31 deadline. Every dollar will help us mobilize advocates, pressure lawmakers, and bring real change to our communities.
If you’re able, please make a donation today. This is our moment to lead—and we can’t afford to fall short.
Thank you for standing with us,
The Alliance
