Blue Dogs like me are proud to represent working families in Congress. We come from working-class backgrounds and we know what it means to roll up your sleeves and get things done. We’re normal people who ran for office to make a difference in people’s lives.
But it’s incredibly frustrating to go to Washington D.C. and be in a room full of people who have never worked a real job in their lives, and they sure as hell don’t understand the struggles everyday people are facing.
It really grinds my gears that special interests spend millions of dollars against representatives like me in order to protect the status quo. My Blue Dog colleagues and I are on the frontlines of fighting back, and we need your help.
Every dollar you chip in helps support leaders who get it — who know what it’s like to work hard, make tough choices, and fight for their communities. If we don’t step up, the same out-of-touch extremists will continue calling the shots.
