For years, our City Council has been fighting against BGE’s multi-year rate hikes. When I met with the chair of the Public Service Commission that regulates BGE, he said he wanted to hear directly from Baltimoreans.

I think that’s a great idea. Your voice is what truly matters. So my colleagues on City Council and I have launched a new postcard campaign and online petition demanding that the PSC end BGE’s multi-year rate hike plan and that BGE deliver real rate relief right now.

We knocked on doors in East Baltimore and heard directly from residents struggling to afford their BGE bills. From working families to small businesses to senior citizens to some of our City’s largest employers, everyone agrees: the rates are simply too high.
