Fellow activist, we wanted to make sure you saw this message.
As Kadida stated, 2025 is the year of the courts in Pennsylvania, with control of the PA Supreme Court being up for grabs.
We are one of only seven states in the entire country that votes for all judges/justices in partisan elections. Unfortunately, judicial elections are overlooked by the electorate in the Commonwealth. That is why it’s so important that we get to work NOW to ensure voters are informed about who they are voting for and why these races are so critical.
Team NPP is working overtime to provide civic education to voters and to mobilize them to turn out to vote in the primary and general elections happening this year. But we still need to raise $2,481 before the end of the month to fund these programs.
Will you help us close our funding gap and join our fight for fair and independent courts by donating $25 or more immediately? ([link removed]
Together,
Team NPP
---------- Forwarded message ---------
Fellow activist,
Talking about the importance of state and federal courts is a passion of mine. When I moved back to Pennsylvania from North Carolina in 2017, I traveled all across the Commonwealth talking to everyday Pennsylvanians about why courts matter and how their decisions affect our everyday lives. Now more than ever before, we must ensure that our state and federal courts remain fair and independent as they are a place where people go for justice. The independence of the judiciary should be protected— especially from other branches of government.
When the legislative branch and the executive branch are usurping their authorities and putting the priorities of billionaires over the good of the people, it is the courts that people historically have turned to for justice. Whether it’s ensuring that PA has fair congressional maps, protecting voting rights, or even protecting access to abortion, these things impact our daily lives, and it’s critical that people understand how important the courts are and how they’re protecting our rights and freedoms.
But this does not happen overnight, and with control of the PA Supreme Court up for grabs this November, we need your help now to be able to provide civic education to Pennsylvanians and turn them out to vote in both the primary and general election this year. We need your help to hit our end-of-quarter fundraising goal. Will you please help fund our voter education and mobilization campaigns by donating $25 or more today? ([link removed]

In Pennsylvania, 2025 is the year of the courts. Pennsylvania voters are powerful as we are one of only seven states in the entire country that votes for all judges/justices in partisan elections. Unfortunately, judicial elections are overlooked by the electorate in the Commonwealth. Typical voter turnout in odd-year general elections hovers around 27%, compared to the 2024 presidential election’s 77% turnout rate. Voter fatigue and apathy have been on the rise since 2022, and a concerted effort to ensure electoral participation in the important 2025 judicial races will be a necessity.
Pennsylvania’s richest man, Jeffrey Yass, has already invested more than a million dollars to influence this year’s judicial elections. Elon Musk will continue to make his mark known as well, as he’s already invested millions of dollars into Wisconsin’s judicial elections.
In 2025, three PA Supreme Court justices (all elected as Democrats) will be up for retention voting. One judge on the Commonwealth Court and one judge on the Superior Court will also be up for retention voting in November. Judicial nonpartisan retention voting occurs every ten years following the initial partisan election for Pennsylvania’s judges and justices (exception magisterial/municipal judges - 6 years). The 2025 judicial election is particularly important for the 2030 U.S. census and the reapportionment of districts. Our appellate courts will likely hear cases concerning the constitutionality of our districts to ensure the Commonwealth’s Congressional districts are free from gerrymandering.
I am reaching out personally to ask for your help. We depend on grassroots support to fund our voter education and mobilization programs, and as we near our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of the year, I am afraid that we are falling short. Will you help fund our fight for fair and independent courts by donating $25 or more today? ([link removed]
