Last week, it was disheartening that the pandemic canceled our usual Memorial Day events to honor the fallen and their families. So I hit the road to safely show my appreciation for our Gold Star Families with a Memorial Day driving tour.

My family and I decorated my car, and I took off on a tour of neighborhoods in MI-11. First stop, Livonia!

It felt great to spread some joy and appreciation -- I loved seeing everyone waving hello from their yards. It was a reminder that even in the midst of a crisis, we're all in this together.
