John xxxxxx,
In a moment, we’re going to ask you to make a donation of any amount to the Labour Party. But first, let us explain why:
For more than a decade, Nigel Farage has said he wants to make big changes to our healthcare system. He wants an “insurance-based model”, which means eye-watering bills every month.
This is important. Think about other countries where they charge for healthcare. Trip to the GP? £129. Need an ambulance? £1,000. A hip replacement could cost a staggering £23,000. Farage says, “if you can afford it, you pay.”
John xxxxxx, the local elections are almost here and we’re fighting a by-election in Runcorn and Helsby on top of that. It’s time for us to show Nigel Farage’s party what Labour’s campaign machine can do.
Every voter with local elections this May and every voter in Runcorn and Helsby needs to know about his plans to dismantle our NHS. Farage thinks he’s on a roll, but if we move quickly, he’ll have nothing to smile about on polling day.
But John xxxxxx, it’s on us to get the message out there - we need to invest in plenty of digital ads, leaflets and extra resources for our campaign teams on the ground.
Now that we’ve explained, here’s where we ask. Will you make a donation to Labour's campaign fund so we can get Farage’s plan to charge for healthcare in front of voters who need to see it?
£3 will make sure 300 voters see our digital ads. £23, our average donation, will cover the cost of 575 leaflets. Please, if you’re able to, make a contribution today to power this campaign:
