We began to suspect something was up when Steve Bannon, Ron Desantis, and the Chair of the NRCC, warned that their candidate was falling dramatically behind.

Then Trump called an emergency town hall in support of our opponent.

And then yesterday, Trump pulled the nomination of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) for UN Ambassador citing the GOP’s slim margin in the House.

Where there is smoke there’s fire. Now we know why they are freaking out:

Pulling a cabinet nomination is a last resort - it is not something you do when you are just scared. If Trump was only scared he would’ve given Rep. Stefanik a call and said hey I may have some tough news for you on Wednesday morning. 

What he did yesterday was preparation for an inevitable defeat. Pulling the nomination today sounds a lot better than pulling it on Wednesday in the aftermath of a calamitous defeat in an R+14 district. 

We are in the eye of the storm now. Republicans will do anything to hold this seat and we are expecting dirty tricks, an escalation in attack ads, voter intimidation, and more.
