This is the third session I've brought the "Defend the Guard" bill before the Senate- and this time it passed.
Well, prospects look good in the House as well! It passed committee there and will be voted on soon on the floor!
A BIG thank you to Rep. John Gillette, who helped my bill pass. I look forward to it landing on the Governor's desk!
Unfortunately, things don't always go so smoothly. I am steadfast in stopping stolen valor- people lying about their service in the military.
As a vet myself, it offends me.
So we recently received some well-intentioned legislation from the House to address this issue. I asked that it be made uniform with the Federal law on the same issue, but I'm getting pushback.
