Before you travel as yourself if your?journey necessary?
If you need to travel to work or make an essential journey, you should cycle or walk if you can. If you have to use public transport please consider if your journey is necessary and if you can, stay local.?
If you need to use public transport, you should follow the?safer travel guidance for passengers.
We can all help to control Coronavirus:
- Stay at home as much as possible
- Work from home if you can
- Limit contact with other people
- Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
- Wash your hands regularly
If you have to travel by public transport please:
- Travel off-peak if you can
- Use contactless payment where possible
- Always wash/sanitise your hands?frequently and?before/after your journey
- Maintain a 2 metre distance where possible, including when waiting to board
- Use a face covering, if you can, when you will be close to others

- From Monday 8 June on-street parking charges will recommence. Key workers can be exempt from parking charges by applying for an online permit.

The Government has announced ?2.5m of new funding to introduce temporary measures to encourage walking and cycling as Covid restrictions are eased, which will help?make social distancing easier as more people return to work and shops and cafes begin to reopen.

Monday 20 April - TBC: Lace Market Car Park Car park closed until further notice while urgent maintenance and repair works are carried out.
Monday 4 May - Wednesday 24 June: Wollaton Road Lane closure from 320 Wollaton Road, across Crown Island to the junction with Canterbury Road due to gas mains replacements.
Monday 25 May - Sunday 14 June: Beechdale Road Lane closure due to new footway/carriageway surfacing works.
Monday 25 May - Monday 8 June: Triumph Road Two way lights in operation outside Jubilee Campus while gas vavle maintenance takes place.
Tuesday 26 May - Friday 19 June: Upper Parliament Street Lane closure between no.7a-100 due to emergency excavation on collapsed brick culvert.
Monday 1 June - Friday 12 June: Radford Road Lane closure from no.114-122 for new water connection.
Monday 1 June - Friday 12 June: Lower Parliament Street Lane closure at the junction with Pennyfoot Street due to electrical works.
Monday 1 June - Friday 26 June: Water Way Street West 24hr lane closure from the junction with Wilford Road to Traffic Street while new water main is placed in carriageway
Saturday 6 June - Sunday 7 June: Castle Road Lane closure at the junction with Castle Boulevard for new electrical supply.
Sunday 7 June: Talbot Street Road closure from the junction of Wollaton Street to the junction of Clarendon Street due to crane operations.

As traffic levels slowly begin to increase, be aware Clifton Bridge continues to operate under one eastbound and three westbound lanes. Highways England are continuing investigations.
