Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) isn’t about efficiency at all — it’s about gutting our vital government agencies and handing over public institutions to the highest bidder. Now, they’ve set their sights on our National Parks.

The numbers are staggering:

🚨 2,000 seasonal hires denied jobs

Without rangers and seasonal workers, our parks can’t run. Visitors are facing overflowing trash and unmaintained trails and finding closed campgrounds, restrooms, and visitor centers. All this leads to loss in tourism revenue for many local economies that rely on National Park visitors for business.

And even scarier? Without these workers, our national parks have fewer search and rescue teams — making outdoor adventures even more dangerous.

There are 433 national park sites within the National Park System that Americans have enjoyed for decades. Congress must step in NOW to stop this reckless assault on our public lands.
