State Preservation Board Responds, New Policy Based on Sex! |
Last Friday, the State Preservation Board finally responded to an inquiry by Representative Andy Hopper who sought an answer from the board regarding their policy on keeping men out of women's restrooms.
“The State Preservation Board maintains public restrooms for visitors, state officials, and employees. All restrooms are clearly designated as “Men’s,” “Women’s,” or “Family Care.” An individual is expected to use the appropriate restroom corresponding with his or her biological sex.” Read their official policy here.
We must pass legislation this session to put an end to the erasure of women’s privacy and dignity. Sign our policy and show your support if you agree that restrooms, locker rooms, domestic violence shelters, and sports should be separated by sex.

While casinos are still illegal in Texas, big money lobbyists are trying to change that!
Texas Values had boots on the ground to ensure that your voice was heard. Megan Benton, Strategic Policy Associate for Texas Values testified at the meeting:
“Gambling often leads to financial ruin, placing stress on families and creating extra burdens. Gambling addiction is a real and present danger and it suffocates those who fall into the trap. It harms the mental health of the person affected leading to an increase in anxiety, depression, sleep issues, loss of productivity and financial stress.”

Special Guest Brooke Slusser Discusses Feeling Violated and Betrayed for Having a Male Athlete on her Volleyball Team. |
"After months of living with this person…I couldn’t comprehend the fact that this wasn’t a woman.
We were lied to by the staff, by Blair, by the school, by the NCAA that just didn’t feel the need to inform the female athletes on the team that we were changing with a man. That’s just crazy to me! Who controls and makes the rules for every single one of these schools conferences? It’s the NCAA!
There’s so much more that needs to happen, but also it’s so exciting to know that at least Texas has a good head on their shoulders and there’s so many amazing things happening in that state right now." ~ Brooke Slusser
