With 2025 already nearly a quarter over (!), we wanted to give you a quick update on our work to put a stop to the gun violence epidemic in our country – and ask you to invest in our work ahead of our upcoming March deadline.

We’ve made incredible strides in the fight to end gun violence, but there’s still more to do. Right now, we have a real opportunity to make meaningful progress, and with your support, we’re pushing for bold, evidence-based solutions that will keep our families and communities safe. With that in mind, here are our 2025 Legislative Priorities:

- Requiring Permit-to-Purchase – A simple, effective step that saves lives by ensuring those buying firearms have passed a background check and completed safety training.
- Restricting firearms in sensitive places – Guns have no place in schools, hospitals, and public transit. Safe, gun-free zones protect everyone. We’ve made progress here, but we can go further to protect our public spaces.
- Investing in community-based programs – We must fund and expand community intervention efforts that interrupt cycles of violence before they begin.
- Mandating safe storage – Secure storage prevents tragedies like accidental shootings and youth suicides, and it’s a policy a majority of Americans support on a bipartisan basis. It’s a responsibility every gun owner must take seriously.
- Holding gun dealers accountable – Dealers must take precautions to safely store firearms and keep accurate records. It’s time for common-sense accountability measures that prevent guns from falling into the wrong hands.

These policies are not just ideas—they’re achievable. We’ve proven that through our past legislative successes in the states. But we can’t do it alone. Your voice, your advocacy, and your support are critical to turning these priorities into law.
