Comrades,
Trans Day of Visibility is on Monday, March 31st. But we know it’s not enough for trans people to be visible because visibility without safety is a trap. For us to be safe, we need care.
We’re turning out BIG, across the Front Range, to put pressure on UCHealth. In an act of cowardice, UCHealth suspended gender-affirming care for people under 19 following Trump’s executive order. Even though this order has been enjoined by federal courts and other hospital systems have restored care, UCHealth continues to withhold care from young trans people.
This is not the first time UCHealth has failed to live up to its mission as a public healthcare system. They have imposed artificial scarcity on their gender-affirming care program, engaged in brutal union-busting, and harassed patient-debtors who can’t afford to pay for care.
Join us on Monday March 31st at 6:30pm at General’s Park in Aurora as part of a tri-city action to tell UCHealth that it’s unacceptable to abandon young trans people, as well as push for our pro-people, pro-worker vision of healthcare:
A Better World Is Possible.
Join DSA and FIGHT FOR IT!
