Dear John,

As Congress goes to work on the budget and appropriations for the next fiscal year, there is the opportunity to finally prevent funds from going to entities that provide abortions. Abortion providers like Planned Parenthood receive hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer funds every year, which allows them to continue to thrive and end more unborn lives.

Send a message to your members of Congress now, asking them to stop funding abortion providers!

Now is an especially opportune time to fully defund abortion providers at the federal level, building on the momentum started by the Trump administration. In a November 2024 op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk specifically highlighted the hundreds of millions of dollars that go to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood (America's largest abortion provider) each year as being on his list of things to cut from federal government spending. One of the first executive orders President Trump signed after getting back into office was one restoring enforcement of the Hyde Amendment to prohibit federal government funding for elective abortions. This order is significant, but now's the time to build on this momentum and more thoroughly and permanently defund abortion providers in statute.

It's no secret that when abortion is publicly funded, more abortions occur. This not only promotes elective abortion but also implicates taxpayers like you, who are forced to indirectly participate in funding abortions against their will.

Abortion is an abhorrent practice that we have been publicly funding for far too long. We should not be financially supporting abortion or its providers with our tax dollars.

Send a message to your U.S. representative and senators, asking them to fully defund abortion providers!

Sincerely,

Your Friends at FRC Action
