When Donald Trump entered his first term as president, the Trump Organization said it would stop making new foreign real estate deals. But for his second term, it didn’t make that promise—and it’s actually dramatically ramping up its foreign business entanglements.
The Trump Organization is developing nineteen Trump-branded real estate projects in foreign countries while Donald Trump is making foreign policy decisions that could impact those countries.
Some of these deals are licensing agreements with the Trump Organization, which will allow the development to pay to use the Trump name, while others are deals where the Trump Organization will be managing the property.
Because he refuses to release his tax returns, Trump’s income from foreign countries remains unclear, but what is clear is that Donald Trump is opening up new channels to profit internationally while serving as president.
CREW is tracking all of the foreign real estate deals that the Trump Organization makes during Trump’s presidency and monitoring his conflicts of interest. Make a contribution today to continue funding our research → [[link removed]]

In Trump’s capacity as president, he has the power to set American foreign policy towards the very same countries in which his organization is conducting business. These countries include: India, Indonesia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Vietnam.
John, Trump is nearly tripling his foreign business interests, creating massive conflicts-of-interest that are much more extensive than they were during his first presidency.
In Oman, a Trump hotel, golf course and residences are being developed on land owned by Oman’s government , as part of a development in which an official tourism agency is a partner.
In Serbia, a Trump hotel is also being built on government-owned land , which is a cause of political controversy within Serbia.
In Indonesia, the government recently ordered work to be stopped on a project that will include Trump-branded elements because of environmental issues.
Given Trump’s prior history of using American foreign policy to attempt to induce Ukrainian political leaders to act in his personal interests, the aggressive foreign expansion of the Trump Organization creates new and unprecedented ethics issues.
CREW is tracking the Trump Organization’s foreign developments, and how they impact Donald Trump’s foreign policy decisions as president.
