Hi team,
This week is all about the state and federal lobbying work we do! We are consistently doing work in D.C. and Sacramento to advocate for bold, progressive climate action, and we want to give you an insight into the behind-the-scenes work we're doing year-round—and an opportunity to join in with questions and comments of your own.
This is the EnviroVoters weekly roundup: to keep you informed as an environmental advocate, remind you that this is a winnable fight, and share things you can do right now to help. Want more updates as they come?

Something to Celebrate: Last week, the EnviroVoters team traveled to Sacramento to advocate for public lands, climate advocacy, and our 30x30 goals at the Power in Nature Lobby Day.
Our incredible partners at the Power in Nature coalition, made up of 300 environmental groups (including us!), spent the day lobbying for priority bills, defending climate bond funding, and resisting program cuts in the upcoming budget. Our team met with 11 legislative offices, including four legislators, that represent the Central Coast, Sierra Nevada, and San Joaquin Valley to get their buy-in on vital bills on water rights, land conservation funding, wildlife protections, and regional planning.
This lobby day was a massive success, with our team securing bipartisan support on initiatives like strengthening forest health to create natural carbon sinks. We also built vital relationships in key districts like the Central Valley and the Sierras to push progress forward.
We're so grateful for supporters like you, friend, for giving us the resources we need to make our work—including this lobby day—possible. Moving environmental protections forward takes dedication, consistency, and time, and it's all made possible thanks to the EnviroVoters community. Something You Can Do:
Do you have questions for your Congressional representatives? We'll pass them along!
Next week, our team is heading to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressmembers and share the top concerns we're learning in their districts. We'll meet with California's lawmakers to advocate for the key issues we're hearing on the ground through our regional organizing work, gathering support for bills and policies that their constituents are most invested in.
We're planning to talk to them about priorities like clean air, public lands protection, and making polluters pay—but these conversations are far more powerful when we can share personal stories from voters like you, friend.
Will you fill out our 3-minute form to highlight your top concerns for your Congressional Representatives? |
