Dear community,

We’re proud to share that Transgender Law Center continues to support the groundbreaking Action for Transformation Fund, an initiative launched last September in partnership with the Emergent Fund. This past month, TLC proudly moved another $1 million to this fund to support trans-led organizing, healing, and power-building efforts.

The Action for Transformation Fund is advised by a panel of five community leaders whose lived experiences, expertise, and deep commitment to liberation guide collective funding decisions.

These advisors, Jaden Cervantes-Fields, Kae Goode, Kiyomi Fujikawa, Quinton Reynolds, and Rúmba Yambú, embody the resilience, self-determination, and visionary leadership that trans communities have long demonstrated.

Participatory grantmaking challenges traditional top-down practices in philanthropy and instead shares decision-making power with directly impacted communities themselves, shifting power dynamics and centering community wisdom.

Applications are open for the Action for Transformation Fund. Please note that while TLC is a proud collaborator, we are not making funding decisions.
