It’s Caroline, Dr. Ruiz’s Finance Director.

The Congressman reached out to you yesterday — did you have a chance to read it? It’s not one to miss, so we’ve forwarded it below.

Here’s the deal: Our first FEC-mandated fundraising deadline of the election cycle is right around the corner, and we need to reach our $15,000 end-of-quarter benchmark.

This is more than a number — it’s what we need to kick off the new cycle with the resources we need to combat Project 2025, continue our voter outreach efforts, and lay the groundwork for success in the days to come.

With House Republicans hell-bent on slashing funding for Medicaid and veterans’ health care services AND Donald Trump already setting his sights on flipping CA-25 red, we simply can’t afford to fall short.

So, will you give Dr. Ruiz’s message a read below and consider chipping in $ during this critical opportunity to show our strength ahead of our first FEC deadline of the election cycle? [[link removed]]

---Forwarded Message from Dr. Raul Ruiz---

PBS NEWS: FEDERAL CUTS ARE HITTING VETERANS ESPECIALLY HARD

The GOP just passed a budget bill that will be devastating for veterans, cutting funding for veterans' health care services by over $22 billion.

It’s disgraceful to cut health care services for our veterans. Our veterans deserve our honor and respect — and now is the time to take a stand. But I need your help to do it.

Our first FEC deadline of the cycle is on Monday at midnight, and my team and I have set a goal to raise $15,000 before the end of the month. This is a public-facing deadline, so the Republicans gunning for my seat will be able to see our fundraising numbers once the clock strikes midnight on April 1st.

If there’s ever been a time to fuel my fight for our veterans and EVERYONE in California’s 25th, it’s now. Will you chip in $ before Monday at midnight to help me reach my $15K goal? [[link removed]]

As a physician, I’m firm in my belief that no one in this country should have to struggle to receive the care they need, especially the veterans who have served and sacrificed in defense of our democracy.

And this budget bill won't just be devastating to veterans. It poses threats to our senior citizens, families, people with disabilities, and MORE — all in favor of tax cuts for ultra-wealthy billionaires like Elon Musk

I ran for Congress to fight for everyday Californians, not billionaires. That’s why I voted NO on the budget and why I reintroduced the Major Richard Star Act to ensure that disabled veterans continue receiving full military benefits.

The only way to put a stop to this is to flip the House blue in 2026 — and to do that, we need to secure another victory for Democrats right here in CA-25.

With Republicans already setting their sights on this district, I’m counting on you to help me reach my goal in time and prove we have what it takes to win. Please: Will you chip in $ right now to help me reach my $15,000 end-of-quarter goal before Monday at midnight? [[link removed]]

Thank you for being a part of this team,

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
