I’ve been traveling all across New York to connect with people and hear about how they are facing this moment. And there is a fierce urgency on the ground that must be heeded by our Democratic party leadership.

Republicans are talking about cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and education. Democrats need to fight like hell to protect these vital services and public goods.

We can do better. We have to do better.

I believe that we need a new generation of Democratic leadership, and you can count me among them as fully prepared to not only fight, but also to chart our pathway forward consistent with our values and principles. I’m excited to be on this journey with you.
