** BANKER PLEADS GUILTY

We move another step closer to justice in the Mozambique debt scandal. A former Credit Suisse banker pleaded guilty to taking millions of dollars in kickbacks on loans he helped arrange to state–owned companies in Mozambique. The loans triggered a debt crisis in the country and we say the people of Mozambique should not have to pay a single cent of the debts. Read more on our blog ([link removed]) .

** G20 FALLS SHORT

Many of us took action in the run up to the G20 summit of the worlds most powerful countries and helped make sure debt justice was high on the agenda. ** FOOD ON CREDIT CARDS

Almost half of the poorest households in the UK are using their credit cards to pay for food or other basic living costs. With partners in the End the Debt Trap coalition, we published a report calling for a cap on credit card costs and for an immediate inquiry concerning the Financial Conduct Authority.
