Just hours after PBS and NPR executives were trashed in public by Marjorie Taylor Greene, Donald Trump added fuel to the fire by vowing yet again to defund PBS and NPR.

PBS and NPR are two of the last truly independent, trusted media institutions in the U.S., and Trump and his allies in Congress are laying the groundwork for their eradication.
Trump is stepping up his attacks and we have to step up our response. Add your name to demand Congress protect PBS and NPR from Trump’s attacks, and your voice will be amplified by our Citizen Action Team in attention-grabbing demonstrations on the ground across the country.
Make no mistake: Trump’s threats are a political strategy. PBS aired the January 6th hearings in full. NPR journalists exposed Trump’s ties to extremist militias, and when PBS profiled a trans teen in a story about gender-affirming care, it became a viral target for the far right.
Now, Trump, Musk and their MAGA Allies want revenge.
In this week’s hearing, Rep. James Comer wasn’t holding back: “I don’t think there’s a role for public radio anymore.”
During his first term, Trump proposed essentially eliminating all funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting — which would cut out NPR and PBS funding entirely. The only reason he failed? Millions of Americans raised hell. Democrats in Congress held the line. We kept public broadcasting alive.
We have to do it again, because if he succeeds this time we may not get another chance. We need all Democrats in the House to hold the line and to flip just TWO Republicans. Add your name to urgently call on Congress to protect PBS and NPR from Trump’s attacks.
When we organize, we win.
