Friends -
Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. A day to honor victims and survivors of gun violence and show support for solutions to the gun violence epidemic.
Today and this weekend, millions of Americans will show solidarity by wearing orange for every American affected by gun violence — mass shootings, suicides, domestic violence, and police violence — and to raise awareness about the movement to make our communities safer.
But our work doesn’t end there. We will continue to do this lifesaving work so that one day we can get closer to realizing a future free from gun violence.
Together we can stand up to the NRA, pass commonsense gun safety laws, and elect gun safety candidates to Congress that will save lives.
So help us continue to build our movement today by signing our petition:
Our movement gains momentum when courageous activists come together to fight for a future where gun safety is a top priority.
That’s why this day is so important and it’s why we need you with us.
You can be a part of this moment by signing our petition and joining us in the fight.
Thanks for joining us today and every day,
The team at Giffords
