Dear Friend,
 
Right now, Australians are doing it tough. We can’t afford to keep heading down the current path.
 
This election is about who can help workers and families to get ahead by managing the Australian economy better. 
 
Anthony Albanese’s economic policies and wasteful spending have made the cost-of-living much worse. 
 
Under Labor, Australians are now paying on average 18% more for rent, 30% more for groceries, and over 30% more for power and gas. 
 
Australia’s core inflation has been, on average, more than double what it was under the Coalition.
 
Under Labor, Australia has had the biggest fall in living standards in the developed world. 
 
Labor has lost control of the economy, with its Budget showing at least ten years of deficits.
 
And tragically, for too many young Australians, the dream of owning your own home is slipping away. 
 
We must do better. I’m determined that we will do better.
 
Our Plan to Get Australia Back on Track will deliver:
 
• A stronger economy with low inflation. We will rein in the wasteful spending that fuels inflation, and reduce fuel excise, red tape, and the control of union bosses over small businesses. 
 
• Cheaper energy. We will ensure a balanced mix, including more renewables, more natural gas, and (in seven locations) replace retired coal plants with zero-emissions nuclear energy.
 
• Affordable homes. We will fund critical infrastructure required for housing, assist first home buyers, restrict foreign investors, and reduce Labor’s record migration to sustainable levels so housing can keep up.
 
• Safer communities. We will get tough on violent crime by non-citizens, boost our defence and national security, tighten bail laws and knife laws, and improve online safety for children. 
 
• Better healthcare. We’ll make it easier to see a GP, increase bulk billing and double the number of Medicare-subsidised mental health sessions.
