** Nearly 600 supporters come together to support Mighty Change
------------------------------------------------------------

Last week, a vibrant gathering of Valley of the Sun United Way supporters and partners celebrated the remarkable progress made in our community over the past year at the 2025 We Are United Breakfast. The morning buzzed with excitement as we united to recognize our collective impact on the lives of children, families and individuals across Maricopa County.

Guests enthusiastically penned words of encouragement for local students and learned firsthand from Principal Orozco about the inspiring work of the Literacy Hub at Lattie Coor School ([link removed]) . There was so much to celebrate, but our ambitious MC2026 plan for Mighty Change reminded us of the transformative work still ahead to reach our community's goals.

United, we are the driving force for Mighty Change in our community. No single organization can achieve this alone, but by joining forces, we unleash the power to make a profound and lasting difference.

A Force for Good
------------------------------------------------------------

Jenny Holsman Tetreault, vice president and associate general counsel at TPI Composites, takes great pride in her extensive involvement with Valley of the Sun United Way.

She began as a young professional volunteer group leader and has since taken on increasingly significant roles, leading campaigns, serving on distribution panels, co-chairing the steering committee, and even serving as board chair. Currently, she co-leads the organization's endowment campaign.

In recognition of her leadership, Valley of the Sun United Way nominated Tetreault for the prestigious Women United Global Leadership Council (WUGLC). This international group of experts helps identify strategic priorities for the Women United organization.

Tetreault has served on the WUGLC for seven years, including two years as co-chair. She will assume the role of chair from 2025 to 2027, further demonstrating her dedication to the organization.

Empower High School Seniors Today

Currently, only 28.1% of the state's public high school seniors have completed the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We must take action to uplift and empower these students, ensuring they receive the financial support they need to continue their education beyond high school. By working together to encourage and assist Arizona seniors in completing the FAFSA, we can open the door to life-changing opportunities.
